Hypatia Consortium - Innovative technologies for sustainable development

Hypatia is a no-profit organization based in Rome: a consortium of companies, research institutions and associations whose main objectives are the promotion, development and enhancement of scientific, technological and human resources of the area of the Lazio region.

Hypatia was born from the collaboration between Academia, Research and Business. Its goal is to initiate and promote research projects aimed at environmental sustainability and preservation of quality of life, in the fields of renewable energy and innovative materials. Because of its networking activity and its role as link between owners and producers of know-how and industrial organizations, the Hypazia Consortium pays particular attention to the issues of technology transfer and to the matching between research laboratories and production sites.

The Consortium also operates in the business services, offering assistance and advice to those wishing to exploit the growth opportunities in the field of R & D, through participation in co-financing projects: regional, national and European calls.

The Hypatia Research Consortium was formally established in July 2008.

The list of members is growing, and is currently composed of two major research organizations, approximately twenty companies and some associations.
